*Win A Disc Wednesday Count Down to Kidzapalooza: Care Bears on Fire

Care Bears on Fire rocked Kidzapalooza last year, so we're including them in our count down.   Since our past few ChiIL Mama Win-A-Disc-Wednesdays have tended toward Kindie Rock for younger listeners, we're going Kid-Core this week with teen pop punk, garage band, Care Bears on Fire.


Sagezilla and Du-Jay both enjoyed their wicked, witty lyrics and punk sound.    Our unanimous favorite is the anti-anorexia tune, "Barbie Eat A Sandwich".   If you're the parent of teens, tweens or even cool hip squeaks, this CD is worth checking out.   Care Bears on Fire are positive punk roll models for all the kids out there who wanna grow up to be rock stars.

The Group

Care Bears on Fire is Sophie on vocals and 

guitar, Izzy on drums and Jena on bass.   

They're a Brooklyn based pop punk group that 

mixes it up with garage and alternative rock.   

They released their first full length LP, I Stole 

Your Animal in September of 2007.   Their second 

album, Get Over It, was released in July of 2009 

on S-Curve Records.
