Clown College Bound?

For the sheer spectacle, nothing compares to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's FUNundrum!

We had the pleasure of checkin' it all out from the 4th row on Sunday, and the whole family had a blast.   We'll have a full review up soon, but for the moment, we'd just like to share some family fun shots with at least a hint of yellow, for Mellow Yellow Monday.

There are few places in the city as colorful as the circus on a drab, November day. Click below for more photos from across the city or around the world, featuring a little or a lotta yellow.

  2. Wonderful for the whole family. Is there a clown college nearby? The kids look like they're almost ready.

  6. My kids saw a story about Tara & Bella a Asian elephant and a stray dog who became best friends and live at The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee. We started watching the elephants foraging in the woods on a live webcam. Our whole family learned all about the 25 elephants that have lived there over the past 15 years.

  9. That's so exciting for the kids. They look so pleased - naturals for the camera; genuinely enjoying life.

Have you read a novel called Water for Elephants? It was a really good read about circus life. I loved it.

    Take care,
    Gina

  10. Hey Pagan--I haven't read it, but would love to check it out. I heard it mentioned recently in conjunction with Nanowrimo (national novel writing month) ending tomorrow, where the challenge is to write a 50,000 novel in 30 days. It was originally drafted during a Nano. This is my 4th year and it's always encouraging to hear about people whose works got published out of the whole frenetic, crazy deal. Thanks for reminding me about it.
