We all enjoyed this colorful, fun book by Trisha Speed Shaskan. It was enlightening and educational while still being lighthearted and entertaining. |  |

ReplyDeleteHello again. Well, I'm with you Lori - what isn't an instrument? Kiddo is pretty psyched to take the drumsticks to the couch, the trunk, the table, his leg, MY HEAD, you name it, and he played 'Ode to Joy' on the rubberband + stool contraption the other day. (No kidding - I could actually hear the tune, and you KNOW I'm trustworthy.) We've got violins, piano, drum machine, various drums, guitars, the odd flute and recorder, and god knows what lives in the play room. Had a really cool conversation yesterday about how the air vibrates inside a violin to make so much noise.

We have a learning drum and play table with little instruments my little ones press. But my kids favorite instruments are my pots & pans, with all of my cooking utensils as drumsticks.
