International online music application Grooveshark and Chicago-based Americana band Van Ghost have joined forces to launch a “Pick The Single” contest, via a Facebook-integrated campaign. This unprecedented, fan-sourced promotion puts power back in the hands of music lovers across the world, while creating buzz around Van Ghost’s new album The Domino Effect, new sound, and upcoming performance at the North Coast Festival.

Contestants can log into the campaign at http://grooveshark.com/thedominoeffect, listen to four tracks, “like” Van Ghost to vote and submit their favorite song. The song with the most votes will be selected as the band’s next single. After submitting their vote, contestants can download all four tracks for free.

Van Ghost, Grooveshark and the North Coast Music Festival are also awarding exclusive prizes to over 100 winners. Three grand prize winners will be awarded two All-Access passes to North Coast, which includes free round-trip airfare, hotel, dinner with the band, and 1-year subscription of Grooveshark Anywhere. 100 Runner-ups will receive a free Van Ghost t-shirt and 3 months of Grooveshark Anywhere.

Eight-time Grammy-Award winner Justin Niebank is producing The Domino Effect. Having worked with artists including Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Daughtry, Niebank puts Van Ghost in great company as the band heads into the festival circuit. With Justin Niebank at the helm, the band’s sound and network continues to develop and expand. Award-winning filmmaker Ian Gelfand recently directed the band’s latest music video for the title-track “Domino Effect,” now on Grooveshark.
