Girls Rock Chicago is another Chi-Town non profit dear to our rockin' hearts. Sagezilla experienced her first week of Girls Rock camp in June and played her first gig at The Metro! We support them in any way we can. They run a fantastic, empowering, and all around rockin' awesome program. We had the pleasure of shooting the whole final camp Metro show with pro audio/video gear and aim to finish editing this fall and have it all up at ChiILMama.com and on YouTube, to live on in infamy.
They also have a Brilliant Corners bene goin' on, but have another burb benefit this weekend, as well.

Friday, September 30 / 6 - 10pm
Saturday, October 1 / noon - 7pm
Sunday, October 2 / noon - 6pm
1915 S. Halsted Street (in Pilsen)
Last year the founders of 50/50 Pilsen invited Girls Rock! Chicago to raise funds for camp with a bake sale at their brand new Art + Craft Fair. It turns out our sweet treats were such a hit with vendors and shoppers that we've been asked back . . . for the entire weekend. 50/50 Pilsen: The Blurring of Art & Craft takes place in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the annual Pilsen Art Walk Open House. Stop by to support the local art scene and GR!C.
To donate baked goods, or volunteer for a shift behind the sweets table (free tastings included), get in touch with jennifer@girlsrockchicago.org
GR!C Seeks Space
One of Girls Rock! Chicago’s goals is to be able to offer year-round programming for campers after school and on weekends. To do this, we need room to spread our wings—and our collection of drum kits. Do you work in real estate? Have a landlord who’s always trying to convince you to move into that fabulous storefront they just can’t unload? Or just pass an interesting-looking space on your walk to work? We want to know what’s out there, and we’d love your help. We’re looking for space that can meet our office needs, store our plethora of band gear, and ideally have space for us to hold workshops, jam sessions, or anything else that might be fun for our campers. If you know of something that might fit the bill, contact heather@girlsrockchicago.org
