Earlier this month, we began our Monday International Home and Housewares Show coverage bright and early with a Cake Boss Press Breakfast with Buddy Valastro, star of TLC's hit bakery reality show.
Cake Boss is a family business, for sure. Buddy's wife, Lisa, was enthusiastic about the new lines and he was quick to credit her with much of the design work. The two have 4 children, and their daughter, Sofia, was jazzed to miss school and don her own Cake Boss baker's shirt, to create confections in the IHHS kitchens.
We were given a sweet little swag bag with a Groovy Girl Cake Kit and an Eat Your Sweets journal/pen set. With the delicious new Cake Boss stationary line, you may be tempted to eat your words!
Go big or go home seems to be the Cake Boss theme of the day. They're rolling out an impressive array of cake accouterments so you can be a master baker, too.
Cake Boss generously passed out free pasteries throughout the IHHS13 show, making their both a popular stopping place.
These football themed cakes were cool and creative!
And these cakes are almost too pretty to eat.... That was ALMOST.
Check out Cake Boss on TLC and look for the new line to hit store this year, so you can be Cake Boss in your own home.
I know we're devoted to dessert! Cake Boss makes it easy to go pro and look like you were born baking.
I was particularly interested in meeting them because my husband, Dug, works on a bunch of TLC shows and a bunch of cooking shows like The Sandwich King (Food Network), The Big Cheese (Cooking Channel), Future Food (Planet Green), Fareway Gourmet, Rick Bayless and more with our company Dug Production Sound, Inc.
He's shot a bunch of TLC shows, too, including Home Made Simple, My Strange Addiction, Trading Spaces, A Wedding Story, A Baby Story, Lottery Changed My Life, Rides and more.
