ChiIL Mama's Adventures as a Raging Waves Waterpark Ambassador (June 2015) #EndlessSummer #Sponsored

Waterpark Fun
With an Australian Down Under Flair
Right Here in Illinois!
June 2014

ChiIL Mama was thrilled to be chosen as 1 of just 5 area Raging Waves Blog Ambassadors for 2015. So check back with us like we vote in Chi, IL... early and often. We'll be bringing you our photo and video filled waterpark adventures in June, July, and August.

Disclosure: We're happy to partner up with Raging Waves Waterpark and have been compensated for sharing this information with our readers monthly, throughout the summer. As always, all opinions are our own.

In June we actually rocked Raging Waves twice, once with the family and once with just the big kids (AKA: grownups), where the 5 Ambassadors got the special grand tour from Manager Dan, and got to meet the PR & management team members, and one of the owners. I was jazzed to find out Raging Waves is family owned and run by a couple who had a dream and a vision. They've also had the grand plan to check out lots of other waterparks and incorporate what those parks are doing well into Raging Waves.

Here's ChiIL Mama's full set of shots from our Raging Waves tour on Opening Day 6/6/15 & our return with the family on 6/26/15. (We'll embed more of our favorite shots below as well.)

Raging waves features loads of water fun for all ages and abilities, Brock's Giant Sandbox, and even a CNH Industrial Outback Road Rally Track where adults and kids can race (under the Boomerange waterslide) on Agricultural Red or New Holland Agriculture Blue pedal tractors! There are also a sweet range of cabanas of various sizes for rent to groups!

Raging Waves cabana style!

Summer time and the livin' is easy with a Raging Waves Group Cabana!

The Raging Waves grounds are clean, spacious, and filled with possibilities for endless summer fun!

Rain or shine, Raging Waves makes for a g'day with your mates.

The day we went back with a bunch of bloggers and their families, it was chilly with intermittent showers, but my son and one of his best friends had a blast anyway.

If it's a bit overcast or cold, lines for the slides are short or nonexistent, making for lots of extra ride time for your warm blooded xtreme kids. Take a chance. If the park has to close for thunder storms or unrelenting rain, you'll get free tickets to come back again another day! If the forecasted high is 72+ without lightening, Raging Waves will be open.

If an Australian Outback vacation isn't in the cards this summer, your family can still have BIG Aussie fun "down under" Chicago, at Illinois' largest water park, Raging Waves! Yorkville is close to Aurora and just 45 minutes to an hours south west of Chicago. Crocs aren't just for feet at this down under themed park.

A realistic looking pair may make you look twice, and Jim Nesci's real reptiles come in for shows along with magicians, musicians, tumblers and more!

The crocs aren't the only nod to the land down under. My tween and teen kids can't get enough of the Aussie named waterslides, and Great Barrier Reef Wave Pool.

Waterslides
BOOMERANG
The signature ride at Raging Waves, twist and turn and drop 40 feet in this popular heart-pumping multi-passenger ride.

CROCODILE MILE
CYCLONE
KANGAROO FALLS
KOALA KOVE
PJ'S PLUMMET
PLATYPUS PLUNGE
TASMANIAN TWISTERS
THE THREE SISTERS

I dig the slides too, but I had a relaxing time tubing around Kookaburra Kreek which is great for all ages. The down under theme continues with Kangaroo Falls and Koala Kove where littles can have big water fun and still play it safe till they hit the magic 48" needed to ride the big slides.

We highly recommend Raging Waves as a clean, family friendly, aquatic adventure all ages will enjoy! Come on out and play.
