Featuring the eight most intense athletes of Monster Jam, Allstate Arena fans will witness a fierce battle for the championship with each competitor using customized high-powered vehicles: Monster Jam Speedsters, Monster Jam ATVs and the famous Monster Jam trucks.

These world-class athletes vying to be the Chicago-area champion are: Colton Eichelberger from Paxton, Ill., son of 11-time Monster Jam World Finals champion, Tom Meents, driving Max-D; 19-year-old Tyler Menninga driving Grave Digger, arguably the most famous Monster Jam truck of all time; one of two female driver-athletes in the field, Kayla Blood, driving El Toro Loco; Myranda Cozad driving crowd-favorite Scooby-Doo; Bari Musawwir, Monster Jam’s first-ever Young Guns Shootout winner, driving Zombie; former Apache helicopter crew chief Tony Ochs, driving Soldier Fortune Black Ops; Trent Montgomery driving Megalodon, and Jack Brown driving the popular Monster Mutt Rottweiler.

ChiIL Tips:

As we wrote last year...helpful hint: Bring ear protection. Eh, what was that? I said, you'll be regretting not throwing in earplugs for everyone. What?! I can't hear you over the deafening roar of those powerful truck engines.

I SAID....BRING EARPLUGS!  YOU CAN BUY SOME FUN TIRE SHAPED ONES ON SITE, BUT IF YOU'D RATHER SPEND THE CASH ON A COOL SHIRT YOU CAN WEAR MORE OFTEN OR A CREEPY SNO CONE CUP, THEN BRING YOUR OWN EARPLUGS.

Advanced tickets save over day of show, so buy your tickets now! Pit Passes are limited get those in advance or you may miss out. Got decent seats?! Ear protection is highly recommended for all and necessary for kids. They do sell over the ear, muff style earplugs for the kids there that look like Monster truck tires. Cute for the littles, but I'm not sure how much sound they block.

Unexpected, unscripted and unforgettable, Monster Jam takes center stage in the world’s most iconic venues, sporting meticulously manicured dirt tracks created with the sole purpose of pushing these perfectly engineered, larger-than-life trucks to the limit. Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, Monster Jam trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, Monster Jam trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster Jam trucks can fly up to 125 to 130 feet in distance and up to 35 feet in the air.

Fun for all ages. ChiIL Mama's been covering Monster Jam & shooting original photos there since 2011, and they still eagerly await the annual Allstate Arena show. They grew up with Monster Jam, making fun family memories and as teens, they still have a blast, introducing their friends to the Monster Jam® Triple Threat Series.
