Coca-Cola Fueled Adventures At AMC Theatres #AMCandCocaColaFreestyle #DiscountCode #ad

Winter is the season for cool hats, cold drinks, warm popcorn and hot movies, and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the above today!

Here at ChiIL Mama, we love to chill out and see movies together with our family and friends in Chi, IL and beyond. Today we were so excited to catch Mockingjay Part 1 at the 600 N. Michigan AMC Theatre in downtown Chicago. The tween, teen and I have seen the first two movies and read all the books, so we've been eagerly awaiting the next installment on the large screen.

Disclosure: It's our pleasure to partner up with Coca-Cola And AMC Theatres for a sponsored post. We still haven't received them yet, but they are supposedly sending us theatre tickets and concessions vouchers in addition to compensation for sharing our experience with our readers. As always, all opinions are our own.

Of course we started our family movie fun with a large Coca-Cola and a large popcorn to share (*with free refills)! My awesome son is "water boy" and ordered a healthy Dasani water.

My daughter adores Coca-Cola and picks it every time she has a chance to choose a soda. Today she had a blast with the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine and sampled Coca-Cola with vanilla and then lime. We also dig cherry and we're intrigued to come back and try orange.

Back in my childhood, I remember being excited about regular self serve sodas and the Frankenstein potions we'd concoct by mixing the flavors together. The Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine just took self serve and mix n match DIY to a whole new level! This mega-machine puts 100+ drink choices at your fingertips. So whether you’re craving a Sprite® Peach, Hi-C® Raspberry Lime or a Dasani® Lemon, they’ve got you covered.

Simply touch the screen to begin, push lever for ice, choose your drink and enjoy.

Our Adventure Continues:

This was our first experience with reclining seating and it rocked! The chairs were comfy and awesome and the aisles had plentiful space and leg room. We were also happy the matinee ticket price was reasonable. Parking is a bit tough downtown, but we lucked into reasonably close metered street parking. There's also a partnership between the 600 N Michigan AMC theatre and a local lot for a flat rate discount. We went to a noon Sunday showing so traffic and parking weren't too crazy.
